Chad's
About This Spot
Chad's sits quietly along East Broadway Avenue in Gladewater, Texas—a humble spot where the rhythm of small-town life settles in the air the moment you step inside. It’s the kind of place where the pace slows down just enough to savor good company and even better food, a welcoming anchor for locals and travelers alike.
Inside, the atmosphere is warm and straightforward, with friendly faces behind the counter and the hum of conversations mixing with the comforting sounds of a kitchen busy at work. There’s a genuine ease about the dining room: simple and unpretentious, yet filled with a heartfelt sense of community. Visitors are often greeted with smiles that feel like old friendships rekindled rather than routine service.
The menu mirrors this honest charm—each dish crafted with care and a nod to classic, hearty flavors. Whether it’s the crispy edges of fried pork chops, the care poured into freshly made cheeseburgers, or the spiced zest of tender chicken wings, every bite tells a story of thoughtful cooking in a space that values flavor over flash. The fries have that homemade touch that keeps people coming back, and the portion sizes have a generosity that echoes local traditions of comfort and satisfaction.
What sets Chad’s apart isn’t just the food but the way it invites you into a moment of uncomplicated joy—whether you’re sharing a meal after a long drive or stopping by on a casual weekday evening. The best cheeseburger I have ever had. Great customer service. Every employee was pleasant and even Chad came out and asked if everything was to our liking. I'll drive from Sulphur Springs just to have one of Chad's burgers

First, definitely not the last, visit to Chad's!! The fish and French fries were amazing!! The fish came out hot and fresh. Homemade tartar had a great flavor. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Want to try a burger next and was told the porkchop is excellent!!

I have always been a fan of "out of the way", "hole in the wall" local restaurant or "joints" where you get good food. I would put Chad's in the unassuming category because its has a main street and does not look like a hole in the wall place...but one thing that it is, truly good food!!! I went with fellow Aggie, Gary '84, to one of his regular spots after doing some Ariel photography for him. We walked in and the conversation started, joking with him which actually feels good to be recognized. Long story short, I opted for lite and healthy and got the grilled chicken salad with a side of fried okra. The salad had bacon and a hearty helping of grilled chicken and was very tasty. Meat melting in my mouth and the flavor was excellent. This was the best I have had this year and I eat lots of them. The okra, I brought over half home and ate it the next day...reheated it was just as good. My meal was amazing and when I go back, its the pork chops the next time!!! What's nice..you can tell it has a local following when looking at some the clientele coming/going and the conversations being had. A must go location!!!!

This little place is a must if you are going through Gladewater, Tx. We had the burgers, french fries and wings. The patties were homemade as well as the french fries. The flavor was on point. Simple, good, homemade. The service was all smiles, welcomed us right as we walked in. We spent $26 for 2 burgers, 1 order fries, wings and 3 drinks. The dining room was kinda hot but it was also open to the kitchen a little. But I had no problem with it because everything else was awesome. We are definitely going back.

Great food! Friendly people that make you feel good! Clean place but very simple. Wings are as good as any and better than most. Won't go wrong on burgers either!

What an amazing little place. We were traveling through. I sorry I did not get the owners name but she was so friendly. Nice to have a place with friendly service and just good hardworking people doing what they love. The food was amazing. Definitely a good sized portion. Will definitely stop back by when we are in the area.

Chicken wings were awesome! I got the Chad's Hot flavor. They were huge and cooked perfectly. Spicy enough to satisfy a hothead like myself. They had several other flavors as well, including some dry rubs.
